Period conversations can help to boost girl’s confidence.

It can allow her to believe in herself and disarm the stigma and stereotyping around periods.

One of our projects is the FREE PERIOD CLINICS. The clinics are virtual workshops that run monthly. The aim of the clinic is to empower parents, caregivers, or guardians of young girls with the right tools to aid period conversations. Helping to tackle period stigma and stereotypes.

The periods clinic is a safe place to share thoughts, network, ask questions and learn about how to improve relationships with daughters

Learning about how to support girls as they come into puberty, how to start the conversations about puberty and periods.

As part of the clinics, parents or caregivers can get our manual. Let’s Talk about Periods. The Parents’ Guide to Puberty & Period Education.

BACKGROUND

The period clinics was launched in October 2021 following the feedback of women that attended the first Limitless Summit in May 2021. 92% of the 102 women that attended the summit affirmed that they needed help with having period conversations with their daughters. About 94% needed help with conversation starters. We also conducted a survey of mums and single dads and over 89% of parents found it a difficult conversation to have with their daughters.
